NSI Region Dresden

Das Naturschutzinstitut Region Dresden e. V. widmet sich seit nunmehr 30 Jahren der Arbeit für den Naturschutz und hat in dieser Zeit eine Vielzahl von ehrenamtlichen und hauptamtlichen Projekten erfolgreich bearbeitet.


In der NABU-Arbeitsgruppe Naturschutzinstitut Region Dresden e. V. arbeiten ca. 30 Mitglieder ehrenamtlich und teilweise auch als Angestellte sowie weitere Spezialisten über Werkverträge mit. Räumlicher Schwerpunkt unserer Tätigkeiten sind Dresden (Büro Landeshauptstadt), die Landkreise Meißen (Landschaftspflegestation Moritzburg), Bautzen und Görlitz sowie die Regionen Erzgebirge und Lausitz. Für das Naturgroßprojekt Lausitzer Seenland (Bergbaufolgelandschaften bei Hoyerswerda)  ist das Naturschutzinstitut Mitgesellschafter der Lausitzer Seenland Gemeinnützige GmbH. Im Vorstand des NABU-Regionalverbandes Meißen-Dresden ist das Naturschutzinstitut durch einen ständigen Vertreter beratend tätig. Des Weiteren besteht eine enge personelle Zusammenarbeit mit dem Förderverein Vogelschutzwarte Neschwitz e. V., dem Verein Sächsischer Ornithologen e. V.  (VSO), der Deutschen Umwelthilfe e. V. (DUH), der Karl Kaus Stiftung für Tier und Natur, ALKA Wildlife (CZ), dem Museum Usti nad Labem (CZ), den ostsächsischen Kreisnaturschutzdiensten und verschiedenen Strukturen des Naturschutzbundes (NABU), z. B. dem Landesvorstand Sachsen, den Landesfachausschüssen Fledermausschutz und Feldherpetologie sowie der Bundesarbeitsgruppe Weißstorch. Im Naturschutzinstitut sammeln auch Studenten - meistens der HTW Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden (Studiengang Umweltmonitoring) und der Technischen Universität Dresden - Erfahrungen für die berufliche Praxis.

Institute of Nature Conservation Region Dresden

For the past 30 years the Institute of Nature Conservation Region Dresden has been dedicated to the work for nature conservation and implemented successfully a large number of projects on an honorary or full-time basis in this time.

In the NABU-Working Group labour approximate 30 members in an honorary capacity and partly as employees or further experts with work contracts. The activities are concentrated in Dresden (office of the Saxon state capital), the districts of Meißen (Landscape Management Station), Bautzen and Görlitz as well as the Ore Mountain Region and Lusatian Region. The Institute of Nature Conservation is co-partner of the non-profit public limited company for the major project of the Lusatian lakes (post-mine landscape near Hoyerswerda). The board of management of the regional NABU-association of Dresden-Meißen is supported by a permanent advisor of the Institute. Moreover, a close cooperation exists with “Förderverein Vogelschutzwarte Neschwitz e. V.”, “Verein Sächsischer Ornithologen e. V.”, “Deutsche Umwelthilfe e. V.”, “Karl Kaus Stiftung für Tier und Natur”, “ALKA Wildlife”, the Municipal Museum of Ústí nad Labem, east Saxonian Protection Services of the Nature and diverse structures of the Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU), for example the Saxon Executive Committee, Regional Committee on Bat Protection and Field Herpetology and the Federal Working Group for the White Stork. Students mostly from the University of Applied Sciences Dresden (course Environmental Monitoring) and the Technische Universität Dresden gain experience for the professional practice at the Institute of Nature Conservation Dresden.
